Fortalization of rural organizations through a program of instensification and comercialization of the production of bovine cattle
The project works for the enhancement of quality of life through three components: the increase of familiar entrances through the intensification of earnings, the giving of special attention to health, and the fortalization of the community organization.

Productive credit background for the development in unfavored sectors (urban and rural) in the region of Cochabamba
The action consists of the concession of credits to micro- and small businesses in the urban sector and to individual propieters and organizations dedicated to agricultural production in the rural sector. It complements itself with the enabling of productive management and administration of the agents of both sectors in order to support the formation of associative groups in the rural sector.

Enabling of management of productive associations in Talamanca, Costa Rica
The present project forms part of an integral productive plan for the region of Talamanca, that consolidates alternative rentable products that are culturally substainable and pertinent. Following this plan, the project is working on three components: organizational fortification, enabling of the credit administration to the producers, and productive organization and enabling. The befitted population is rural and poor in the Talamanca zone.

Fortalization of the artisanal and industrial cooperational movement in Central America.
The objective of this project is to fortalze the Central American cooperative movement. The project intends to develop its integration in the economy of the region, through the improvement of internal management and the capacity of commercialization of its products. This will be accomplished through a program of assisted management and the formation of distinct aspects of necessities in order to assure the future of the cooperations in the two beneficiary countries: El Salvador and Costa Rica.

Self-sustained development project in the region of Del Valle de Santa Rosa, Holguín
The project is taking the strategy of the reactivation of distinct regions in Cuba taken on by the counterpart (ANAP) through a process of self-sustainable development. Its possiblities cover the basic necessities without any exterior dependance. The proposed actions introduce the diversification of cultivations, the extension of the lands to cultivate, the intensification of ranching herds, and the construction and endowment of the infrastructure of a conservation plant, the instalation of a biological plant, and the construction of a bakery. Likewise, it gives itself covering to the canalization of waters and the extension of electrical layouts. The actions continue through the enabling of the local people in the distinct areas of work.

Program of development of modules in the cooperative "Ciro Redondo" and "9th of April" in Batabanó, in the provice of Havana.
The actions of this project are directed to the dynaminzation of the agrarian sector. The means proposed are the improvement of seeds, diversification of cultivations and the extension of lands to cultivate. The sector proposes the utilization of effective forms of managing of the flock, intensification of animal production, and the gradual increasement of the herd. The project is financed through various municipal governments, and is working itself in distinct phases.

The project claims the organizations of the communities of people in the town of Santa Fe in the city of Havana, in order to find a collective solution to meet the necessities of medicinal resources. The project intends to make good use of the avaliable lands for the planting of medicinal plants in order to elaborate the production of micro-doses that can be put into pharmacological dispense.

Central wind-generated demonstrative of 1 MW in La Loma, Island of Turiguanó, Province of Ciego de Ávila
The project aims at the installation, as a pilot experience that will effect other municipalities, of a central wind-generate energy. The central objective is the stimulation of a process of technological transference that permits the introduction of generation systems, electricity generated by wind turbines, the making use of natural resources of the island, to alleviate the electrical energy demand dependent on combustible imports. The technical involvements recieve enablings from the installation and maintaiment of said machines to guarantee the viability of the project and its effect to be multiplicated to other communities.

ACSUR has assigned sutures and dialysis machines for the distribution in the provinces of Las Tunas and Granma.

Through the production and diffusion of non-sexist educational material, we are attempting to contribute to the transformation of the gender system in El Salvador, supporting the new generations with a feminist and masculine identities in order that oppresion or dependance will not continue. In order to achieve this directive, we propose an accesory service, enabling, and production of material to give support to 53 El Salvador organizations and institutions specialized in women´s programs and to 40 non-specialized organizations.

Semi-intensive cultivation of freshwater shrimp in the community of Las Americas, Suchitoto, El Salvador
The cultivation of freshwater shrimp supposes an alternative economy for the population of the community of Las Americas. In this project the beneficiary population are going to overturn all of its forces to put in place a shrimp farm that, through the comercialization of the product, improving the quality of life of the people. The project will aid in the construction of the infrastructure, enabling for the production and commercialization, and puting in place of the production.

The project takes place in nine communities of a zone effect for 12 years by war in the country, where there is a large number of displaced former soldiers that live in coditions of precarious substinence.
The action centers around five components; agricultural production; commercialization; improvement of health and living conditions with the construction of living quarters.

Program of production, processing, and commercialization of medicinal plants in Usulután, Chalatenango, and San Salvador, for the improvement of levels of development and health of the population
The project proposes to convert in a process of productive and health alternative that the population realize in a traditional form, as a cultivation and processing of medicinal plants for health application.
Through the transference of technology and qualification, the project will convert the production process of medicinal plants in the form of development for these communities. This is thanks to the production, the processing, and the commercialization of these plants, the generation of of entrances and coverings for back necessities. In this form, we will generate, on one side, a process of development with a productive component and, on the other, a consolodation of traditional medicine as a complement to western medicine within the country.

Program for the integral development of the Communities of Population in Resistence (CPR) of the Sierra. Second phase.
This constitutes the second phase of the support project for development in the Communities of Population in Resistence of the Sierra. This phase will attempt to consolodate the following profits with the first phase, fundamentally in the area of health, continuing with the enabling of the health services, and equipping them with medicines and other health materials. At the same time, the project will support CPR with the legalization of the lands in which they are found and its organizative fortalization in relation with the management of projects.

This proposal constitutes the continuation of support offered for the return of the refugee Guatemalan population in Mexico to the communities of La Quetzal and La Esmeralda, in El Petén. This project will attempt to provide formative resources and support to generate a process of self-managed development that permits the better intergration for the communities in the zone and in the political and social life of the country. The princpal points of work are health, enabling in management of produtive projects, and activities put in place with those that assure the satisfaction of basic needs.

The project will attempt to continue the actions completed in this zone by CEIDEC. The project continues the objective of fortalizing the self-management in the necessities of the nourisment of the population put in place by the productive activities accompanied by the enabling through actions to the undertaking. Likewise it continues the support of community organizations and the articulation of the social fabric.

Support to the reassignment of internally displaced people, Huehuetenango, Guatemala
ACSUR orignally supported two projects for displaced peoples of San Ildefonso Ixtahuacán Huehuetenango who had to flee to the zone from the coast by means of the hardening from the armed conflict. This population began to return to its zones of origin once the peace accords were signed in Guatemala. The situation in their zones of definitive assent is very precarious, reasons that ACSUR saw necessary to continue the previous work in the zone with this population. The objective of the project is to support the reassignment through the creation of infrastructure of health, envinronmental guarantee, and the enabling of local health resources.

The program is being developed in Belladére in the Central Plateau of Haiti, a poverty-stricken zone of the country. The program reinforces the rehabilitation of the health system in rural zones through ACSUR, operating under the finances of the European Union. We forsee three fundamental actions: 1. Putting in place of a unified community of health in Belladére, 2. Institutional support of the Ministry of Health through departamental direction that bears actions of supervision and continued and concentrated formation with ministerial teams, 3. Actions of cultural animation for messages about health and organizational fortalization of grass-root organizations and local institutions. This includes, likewise, literacy aid through themes of health.

This is the fourth phase of a programs designed to improve public health in the Central Plateau. This phase concretely develops the continuation of the third phase in the areas of supervision, formation, and continuing of support to the peripheral deposits of Hinche and Mirebalais. Meanwhile, it presents a new scope of actuation in the community health in the Comuna de Savanette (Lower Plateau) and rural sections of Colombiers, La Haye, adn Baptiste. With the growth of Phase IV, it has re-opened the Belladére Hospital (physical rehabilitation, endowment of logistic and medical materials, formation and information activities, education, and communication) and has brought diverse community actions implemented through microprojects that reinforce the areas nutrition and hygiene.

Creation and fortalization of Units of Rural and Social Integrated Development (UDRIS) in four communities in Francisco Morazán, Honduras.
The project intends to support the organization process of rural people to improve the defense and management of their collective interests. Through the implementation of Units of Rural and Social Integrated Development (UDRIS), the project will contribute to the transformation, based in alternative strategies, of the LPRs (Local Rural Parcels). The end of the project is to resolve their problems through the conception of integral development of the entire community. In relation to the productive activities, the project intends to strive for the diversification of cultivation through the introduction of tomatoes, sugar cane, and potatoes. Also, the project intends to improve the production of basic grains, corn, and beans and the introduction of poultry: breeding of chickens, production of eggs, and bovine cattle.

Promotion of integral development of indigenous women of Chiapas, State of Chiapas.
The project intends to generate a process of integral development in the zone Altos de Chiapas, through the formation and enablement of women in the communities, simultaneously generating production activities that will improve the quality of life. The process of formation and enablement will occur through the perspective of gender, in order to improve gender relations- until now unequal in prejudice towards women- of the interior of the communities. The project attempts not only to attend to the practical immediate needs of the female population, but to endow them with economic and formative resources to aid in their process of self-management for development.

The Center for Human Rights works in 18 municipalities of the mountain. The work has centered around the community promotion and the creation of municipal committies, to create a regional network for promotion and defense of human rights.

Creation of a recycling business by poor women in the State of Morelos, Mexico.
The project intends to function through the resolution of environmental problems that effect the Juitepec zone in the State of Morelos. It functions principally through the degradation of soil by the accumulation of solid waste. To attend to these aspects, CIDHAL proposes the creation of a micro-business of recycling of waste, that will urge the orientation of organic waste through the production of fertilizer through compost piles. It will also channelize waste from the recycling of organic waste thanks to the signing of a pact with other groups.

The context of politics of structural adjustment significantly effects the Nicaraguan health system. With the execution of this project, an increase program of rehabilitation and psychological treatment will be put in place. It is directed towards women of the Gaza Strip that have been vicitims, directly or indirectly, of the occupation the region has suffered. There are wives of ex-prisoners, widows, or families of victims of the fighting and that on some occasions have suffered and continue to suffer other types of violence: domestic violence. The point of reference of this attention is the Center for Attention of Women and manifests itself through psychological attention and creation of self-help groups and also propose a plan of vocational enablement.

Course on Gender and Cooperation for Development in Latin America
The objecives of this project are: formation of women in the area of international cooperation and the politics of development, collision of themes of cooperation from the perspective of gender, aiming at the intervention of assosciations of women. This course developed in Valenica, organized by ACSUD-Valencia.
Women, Cooperation, and Development in Latin America
Program of formation and awareness concerning gender and development that lasts 147 hours (course, workshop, monothematics). In 1997, the project initiated the process of developing a publication with the contribution of the program taht will be volume 2 of Cuadernos de Asturias (Notebooks from Asturias).
Formation Course of the Professorate
Its objective is to supply information and basic knowledge in material of cooperation for development with an specific orientation to teaching.
And You...How Do You See It?
Last phase of the program that the Youth Section, with support from the Area of Education for Development, has been developing since 1994. With it, we have put in place an outreach towards educators of youth, theoretical materials, methodological orientations, practical activities, and audio-visual documents with the end of promoting an exchange of attitudes toward suppression and intolerance, xenophobia, racism, and the stimulation of tolerance values, respect, and curiosity for diversity.
This Is Our People
Program aimed at the promotion of solidarity and knowledge of human rights: the right to develop of the towns of the South. Full of conjoint integrated activities (publications, theatrical representations, videos, children´s stories, unified teachings...) with the objective of creating a network of active and stable solidarity by social organizations in our country, together with organizations from Central America and the Carribean, dedicated to the goal of the promotion of the right to develop in many areas.
Once upon a time...the South
Project aimed at the awareness in universities about the importance of cooperation for development. It basically consists of an exposition that has been shown in several universities in Spain, with the collaboration of student associations.
International Encounter: "Women, Cooperation, and Development on the 50th Anniversary of the Declaration of Human Rights"
Enmarked in a global line, in association with the rest of the organization, of promoting exchanges and work meetings with the goal of facilitating the elaboration of consensual and common proposals in the field of gender, with an international cooperation for development. The group Women and Development from the delegation of Asturias organized this encounter with the objective to create a forum of debate concerning human rights and rights of women, from the strategic point of view and a point of view of action.

Survival- 2nd Phase
The project Survival 2: New Roads for Solidarity continues the work began by the project Survival wotj social movements in Valencia with the objective of creating a social, cultural, economical, and political network, that demonstrates the many spaces and initiatives in the South that elaborate and practice as resistance, response, and alternatives of the impositions of unified and systematic thought.
For this year, the organizations of Central America that participated in the past year: CEASPA, CDM, Communal Nicaraguan Movement, Youth Work of FUNDESCO. The following have confirmed their participation for this year: ADP, Quality of Honduran Life, ADEJUC, and UDINOV of Guatemala.
Look to Your North, Find Your South
The objective of this project is the formation of educators and other peoples that will be capable of finishing work of awareness, understood as a modification of negative attitudes and values of our society and the generation of solidarity responses from tolerance.
Genetic Patents
The program´s objective is to facilitate democratic public and social debate about the possible uses and abuses of genetics and genetic engineering. This is organized by ACSUD-Valencia, in coordination and collaboration with numerous ecological and solidarity organizations.
